Complete, single-person fabrication of the entire prototype-- the enclosure, mechanical design, wiring, voice recording, and every last bit of programming, all following team spec on gameplay, UI and ID as well as multiple rounds of client feedback.
Being the hub of all functional aspects of the prototype meant that every little nuance of the overall play experience could be tuned to be in harmony with the other-- from the visceral feedback of the indexing switches, to the clarity of the user interface design. Bop It Tetris was the culmination of disparate disciplines developed by Rob and the most personally refined project of his career at the time, and set the stage for more projects like this one from then forward.
